Notes for Lorenzo MOORE Lorenzo (my grandfather) was educated as a solicitor, but at one point he and his brother Frederick were working a property their father had invested in called Avoca Station. He did practice as a solicitor in Napier, New Zealand. I have not been able to find records of his marriage to Harriet Eva WARNER or of the birth of their first son but they, Lorenzo and Harriet, emmigrated to Tasmania. He began practice as a solicitor in Devonport, Tasmania, in 1889 and they had seven more children. He died in 1916 aged 74, my father was then 15. [387]
Family notes for Lorenzo MOORE and Harriet Eva WARNER At one stage five of Lorenzo and Harriet's sons were fighting in Europe in the first world war, and from those eight children they only had four grandchildren, I don't know much about Frederick. They seem to have lost touch when Lorenzo and Harriet went to Tasmania. Some mystery there, I cannot find marriage records for Lorenzo and Harriet or birth records for their eldest son. [387]
