Notes for Winifred SHAW

My father once told me that they lived in five different houses in St Bernard's Road at various times during their childhood. During her life Winifred lived at the following addresses:

Family notes for Arnold John BODDINGTON and Winifred SHAW

A letter from son Roddy to his mother indicates that they lived at Wichmont, St Bernard's Road, Olton, Warwickshire in 1931. My father said that they lived in five different houses in St Bernard's Road at various times during their childhood. [269]

I discovered that Arnold's son Arnold Peter very much disliked being addressed by his first name, Arnold. It is noticeable that all three boys were addressed by their second names. However, I was not aware that my father, Samuel Rodney, disliked the name Samuel. He named me Samuel Timothy and I have always been addressed as Tim. I wasn't keen on Samuel in my younger years but occasionally use Samuel on the internet, mainly because many purposes require ones first name for identity checking purposes. Ida Kathleen was always addressed as Ida. [269]
