Notes for Horace Frank BODDINGTON OBE Horace Boddington had a distinguished career in the British army, serving in France during WWI, followed by Ireland, and moving into British Intelligence also in Ireland. He was awarded the honorary office of Major on his retirement.
He is said to have 'liberated' the clock from behind Adolf Hitler's desk in the Chancellery, Berlin, while escorting Winston Churchill on 26th July 1945.
