Family notes for Joseph BODINGTON and Elizabeth

In 1927 the electoral roll shows Joseph living with Elizabeth Boddington at 19 Pear Tree Cottages, Metchley Lane, Harborne. I cannot find a marriage record for Joseph either as a 1 d or 2 d Bodington.

The 1930 Electoral Roll shows them continuing to live together at 19 Pear Tree Cottages with no children.

The 1939 register shows them living at 19 Pear Tree Cottages and reverting to 1 d Bodington and married. Joseph is an inspector of motor parts and Elizabeth does unpaid domestic duties.

Notes for Joseph BODINGTON

From WW1 burnt documents he enlists with the Royal Warwickshire Regiment in 1914. Service Number 9/8568, private. He may have been underage as his record shows his birth year as 1895 ie. 19 years of age.

His medal index card is difficult to read but it shows him discharged on 8th May 1916. No reason given.
