Notes for Reginald Edgar BODDINGTON In February 1910 Reginald Edgar was commissioned into the UK Durham Garrison Artillery of the Territorial (reserve) as a 2nd lieutenant; in the 1911 census he is resident in a "private lunatic asylum"; in 1915 he was called up to the 19th Bn Royal Fusiliers as a private but was promoted to Lance Corporal in 12th Bn after a year; served on the Western Front, but was discharged as mentally unstable and returned to England in 1917. Ancestry has a couple of entries for him in their "New York, Passenger Lists, 1820-1957" collection. [319]
