Plunging into the database will be interesting if one knows of a particular individual or line to look for. However, it will not give the viewer the broad overview of all the various lines of the family. This page tries to provide a view with links into each line in the database.

The one D Bodingtons seem to have come mainly from north east Warwickshire, amongst families of two D Boddingtons, suggesting that the name arose out of a misspelling.

Their occupations seem to have been, like the majority of the population in those days, agriculture and related trades.

New Bodington families have developed after individuals or even whole families emigrated to America, South Africa and Australia.
